Thermal Curl Set-up (Mannequin 1) : 

Thermal Curl Set-up (Mannequin 1) If your practical is performed by NIC, you will use this set-up. Because of the time constraints (10 minutes) for initial set-up of station, you should combine the set-up & thermal all in one. **Red Permanent not removed between set-ups Supplies needed: First Mannequin Head (already pre-curled), mannequin holder, child’s shampoo cape, pump hand sanitizer (labeled hand sanitizer), alcohol spray (no aerosol allowed, labeled spray disinfectant), First aid kit (labeled first aid), bag w/blood spill (labeled bio-hazard), Large kitchen trash bag (labeled trash), paper towels in baggie about 10 pre-folded (to wipe down station between towel changes, labeled paper towels), Water Bottle (labeled water bottle), 2 towels, Marcel iron (if have cord, must be neatly rolled & clipped to keep out of way), perm papers for test paper, 2 rattail combs, 10 clips. HAIR CUT Set-up (Mannequin 2) If your practical is performed by NIC, you will use this set-up. You have 2 minutes to set-up this station, it is advisable to have all of your supplies rolled in the towel (not mannequin head) and taped closed. This is considered a dry sanitation because it is closed. The head can be used with the same drape as the thermal, just switch heads. Supplies needed: Second Mannequin Head (already pre-moistened), Razor w/guard, Shears, 2 Barber Combs, 4 butterfly clips for holding hair, towel. NOTE: Try to cut off as much of the hair as possible if using a long haired mannequin head, leave about 6 inches of hair. This will help you during relaxer, color, and perm section. Slide 6: 

PERM Set-up (Mannequin 2) If your practical is performed by NIC, you will use this set-up. You have 2 minutes to set-up this station, it is advisable to have all of your supplies rolled in the towel and taped closed. This is considered a dry sanitation because it is closed. The same head can be used with the same drape as the haircut, just do a chemical drape, by using the second towel to chemical drape the already positioned draped head. No need to re-drape. Supplies needed: Mannequin Head (use same head as haircut), 2 rattail combs, stack perm wrap papers, 20 grey perm rods, simulated application bottle (labeled perm solution), cotton roll, protective base (small vaseline tube, labeled base), gloves, 4 butterfly clips, 2 towels. NOTE: Make sure you use the chemical drape, your mannequin should already be draped w/one towel and chem cape, just put the free towel inside the towel roll over the top. COLOR Set-up (Mannequin 2) If your practical is performed by NIC, you will use this set-up. You have 2 minutes to set-up this station, it is advisable to have all of your supplies rolled in the towel and taped closed. This is considered a dry sanitation because it is closed. Use the same drape as perm no need to re-drape (wastes time) Supplies needed: Same Mannequin Head, Same drape, 2 rattail combs, application bowl & brush, gel or cholesterol (labeled color), protective base (small vaseline tube, labeled base), gloves, 4 butterfly clips (to 4 section: left front, left back, right front, right back, you will use this sectioning for the relaxer set-up too, just leave them in the hair and you already have it pre-sectioned), 4 duckbill clips (to help keep hair from falling after section is colored), 2 towels (one for roll up and one for wiping hands) NOTE: Make sure you use the same chemical drape, NO need to re-drape after perm, use same drape. You have 2 minutes to set-up this station, it is advisable to have all of your supplies rolled in the towel and taped closed. This is considered a dry sanitation because it is closed. Use the same drape as perm no need to re-drape (wastes time), the previous set up allowed the sectioning to be done, use this to save time. Supplies needed: Same Mannequin Head, Same drape, 2 rattail combs, application bowl & brush, gel or cholesterol (labeled relaxer), protective base (small vaseline tube, labeled base), gloves, 4 duckbill clips (to help keep hair from falling after section is colored), 2 towels (one for roll up and one for wiping hands) NOTE: Make sure you use the same chemical drape, NO need to re-drape after perm, use same drape. You have 2 minutes to set-up this station, it is advisable to have all of your supplies rolled in the towel and taped closed. This is considered a dry sanitation because it is closed. Use the same drape as RELAXER, except take overlay towel off, no need to re-drape (wastes time). Supplies needed: Same Mannequin Head, 2 towels (one for roll up and one for wiping hands), spatulas in baggie (labeled spatulas), toner in spray bottle (labeled toner), cleansing cream (labeled cleansing cream), massage cream (labeled massage cream), 10 cotton pads in baggie (labeled cotton pads), head band or head cover, 2 duckbill clips for hair cover. You have 2 minutes to set-up this station, it is advisable to have all of your supplies rolled in the towel and taped closed. This is considered a dry sanitation because it is closed. Supplies needed: Towel, nail forms (in baggie labeled nail forms), odorless monomer (labeled monomer), odorless polymer (labeled polymer), nail primer (labeled primer), nail brush, 2 paper towels in baggie (labeled paper towels), Finger, orange wood stick, 3 way buffer, zebra file, wet sanitizer (with cotton & barbicide), dry sanitizer w/cotton.
