Goals and Scope Documenting the American South is a digital library that seeks to provide access to a variety of digitized materials that offer “Southern perspectives on American history and Culture.”

Goals and Scope cont’d It was made and is supported by the University Library of the University of North Carolina. These materials are meant to aid in research in all forms of study for “teachers, students, and researchers at every educational level.”

Goals and Scope cont’d The Documenting the American South digital library is essentially a digital representation of the “premier Southern collections” of the University Library of the University of North Carolina, including but not limited to the Southern Historical collection, the North Carolina Collection, the Rare Book Collection, and the Davis Library.
