Well, aside from a good product, great customer service can have a dramatic effect on your business.

If you provide great CS, and have multiple products…

What’s the difference between an upsell and a cross sell?

An upsell is adding value to an already existing offer.

You’ve probably seen their area “People also bought” and it has other things that people have bought.

If you sell your own products, be sure to offer other products that can add value to the original product you’re selling.

But how does this translate to affiliate marketing?

Have you bought a clickbank product lately?

If you’ll notice, most of them have affiliate links littering their product download page.

This of course, is all in hopes of making more money, by promoting similar products.

You can do this too. Simply place 3 related offers on the download page of your own product.

You can also place some on a free product download page when you give people free products.

This way you can make free money without doing any more work.

If people appreciate your value, and you treat them well, you can make more money this way.

The last way that customer service can make you more money is through…

Have you ever told someone about a product that you really liked?

I know I do. And if you have a great product with great customer service, you’ll simply make more money.

Social proof goes a long way, and just one person could change your business.

Let me give you some personal examples, so you get a better idea.

I sell different products and services.

And I’ve had multiple sales from various prospects because of the personal support that I give out.

Repeat sales are the best kind of sale, because it shows that you have the one thing that matters most in marketing…

That person’s trust.

And it can also be applied to affiliate marketing as well.

Many know who I am because they’ve been to my blog. They read my advice, and consider me an expert in my field.

Then, when I make an honest affiliate recommendation, it means more than someone just shoving affiliate promotions down their throat.

Just be honest, and provide helpful feedback, and you can easily win people over.

Alright. Moving on.

The second way to make more money is to find your USP.

This includes: Answering “why me” Providing a unique offer Solving a problem

Your USP is your unique selling position.

Basically, it’s what sets you apart from everyone else.

You can find out what your USP is by doing the things I just mentioned…

First, answer why me?

Why would any one want to buy from you?

Do you: Offer a better deal than the competition? Have expertise in that area? Have past experience with the same topic? Provide better customer service ;-)

Once you can answer why the prospect should buy from you, then you’re a step ahead of most of your competitors.

I would come with at least 3 – 5 reasons though, so you can really assert your point.

Once you have your USP, then make your offer unique to that.

Whatever makes you better than the next guy, make your offer better as well.

Marlon Sanders once said it this way:

“If you really want to have a killer sales letter, take your competitor’s USP and turn it into a free bonus.”

Make your competition look like it’s offer is NOTHING compared to yours… and you’ll win.

Lastly, have your product or bonus (for an affiliate product) solve a problem.

People buy things because they have some kind of problem with something.

We buy food (albeit junk food as well) because we get hungry.

We buy electronic gadgets to fight boredom and to look cool.

Whatever the reason, we have some kind of problem.

So if your offer solves a problem that the prospect has, you can be that much more effective…

And you’ll just make more money.

Time for the last method.

This one is probably the easiest one ot understand, but just makes sense.

Thing number 3: Sell more stuff

If you are a product vendor, simply sell more related products to your customers.

If you only have one product, you’ll most likely never make enough to retire on.

But if you sell a handful, you can tons more, and you’re much better off for it.

And if you’re an affiliate, simply promote more affiliate products.

Not each and everyone that comes along of course, but more.

Here are some easy ways to sell more stuff:

Have a OTO on a product page, or even on a page where you give away a free product.

[B] Promote to your list.

It’s actually been proven that the more you email your list, the better the response rate… to a certain degree of course.

So promote more products, and tell your subscribers why they should check out said product, and how it can help them.

[C] Create small products to sell.

When people here “launch a product” they think it’s gotta be full-blown affiliate product or something.

Quite the opposite. Simply sell short reports that solve problems and you may be surprised.
