A Brief History about NANO . industry : 

In 2006, West Bengal’s Marxist regime forcibly acquired land in “Singur” and leased it to Tata Motors in order to build a factory for its super-hyped about Nano car Unsurprisingly, a large number of landowners refused to sell their land and were infuriated when the government exercised its power to undermine peasant land rights. Several incidents of suicide occurred by landowners and farm workers who could not deal with the prospect of losing their land and livelihood. Cadres of Trinamul Congress and other resisters set up road blocks and paralyzed transportation on a busy highway nearby the Tata factory with the help of the police, Marxist party members "engaged in rampant intimidation of the unwilling landowners and the protesters. Over a two year period, mass mobilization of thousands of people continued up until the ultimate retreat of Tata Motors from Singur.
