Metzger A Necessity for Salvation Slide 2: The following passages of Scripture, in their plan and obvious meaning, command, describe, or imply the NECESSITY of happy continuance in the love of God as a condition of attaining final salvation. Slide 3: Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Slide 4: John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Slide 5: John 8:51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Slide 6: John 11:26* * Present tenses denoting a continuous believing or partaking of Christ. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? Slide 7: John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
