WHAT IS SEEDS?:

WHAT IS SEEDS? SEEDS (Sports for Education and Economic Development) is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with offices in Dallas, New York City, San Diego, and Dakar, Senegal. The organization ’ s mission is to “ to use sports as a vehicle to inspire, empower and support the holistic development of promising African youth, preparing them to become global citizens and lead positive transformation in Senegal, Africa and the world. ” www.seedproject.org

The SEEDS Academy uses the powerful experience of sports to develop, educate and empower a new generation of African leadership from within Bilingual (English and French) and international (International BAC) college preparatory curriculum with a focus on leadership development Enrollment, grades 9-12, 250 promising young student-athletes from throughout West Africa in the past decade Building model and scale to other African markets www.seedproject.org

SEEDS Accomplishments:

SEEDS Accomplishments ~30 Senegalese NCAA players through SEEDS. Remodeled the basketball court at CNEPS to NBA standards Donated basketball equipments to several sports associations 3 Senegalese NBA players through Fall and SEEDS. Dozens of current and retired NBA players, coaches, scouts, and managers have visited Senegal as a consequence of SEEDS. Several more throughout Europe (Italy, Lithuania, etc…) Partnership with the National Basketball Federation on behalf of the Ministry of Sports Brought Nike to sponsor the National Teams (Men & Women) Promoted Little League Basketball www.seedproject.org

SEEDS: Prospective Growth SEEDS continues to educate prospective partners to not compete for funding, but to join together for opportunities.
