A First Nations Woman, my World Grandparent Teachings Wisdom Love Respect Courage Forgiveness Humility Honesty FN peoples have had these teachings but – got bumped off the trail and onto another. Recovery takes time but not all is lost. We are once again, slowly finding our own place in this World.

PowerPoint Presentation:

A First Nations Woman, my World Wholewheat Bannock with cranberries Sugar is bad :( I can't eat many of these but my sons magically appear, wherever there is Bannock in the community :)

PowerPoint Presentation:

A First Nations Woman, my World We stop, look, and wander our separate ways. Feel free to run. Bears aren't too common a sight, except around fall. They wander around, check out our garbage bins, maybe figure out how to open them but the Indians get restless and dogs go crazy! Our community goes in full safety mode, alerts will fly and telephones ring. Everyone will be made aware. :)

PowerPoint Presentation:

Just Looking for some Peace Live your Life so the Fear of of Death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion. Respect others in their views and demand they respect yours. Love your Life, perfect your Life, beautify all things in your Life. Seek to make your Life long and of service to your People. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you cross the Great Divide. Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a stranger in a lonely place. Show respect to all People , but grovel to none. When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your Life and strength. Give thanks for your food and the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies in yourself. When your time comes to die, sing your Death song, and die like a Hero going home. ~ Tecumseh~ 1768 - 1813

A First Nations Woman, my World A delight to see but not too common unless you spend your time staring into the upper canopy of the forest. One I saw, held up traffic on the highway for about 30 minutes. They walk, waddle (?) very slowly Some friends tried telling me, it's ok to go out and pet it. Sure! I'm right on it.

A First Nations Woman, my World An unexpected morning guest dropping by to breakfast on toast. I hung a Peanut butter and birdseed ball one winter, a Whiskeyjack kept feeding and both fell down. No worries! The bird was fine :) I love hearing birds especially in winters.

PowerPoint Presentation:

A First Nations Woman, my World The Eagle, holds a special place in hearts of not just the FN peoples. Considered a blessing to a FN person when we see this particular neighbor soaring in the skies nearby.
