RIGHTS OF THE CHILDREN : 

RIGHTS OF THE CHILDREN Islam gives much importance to the training of the child and makes parents responsible in this behalf. The holy Prophet (PBUH) says: “The parents are responsible with regards to their children in the same manner in which the children are responsible with regard to their parents”.

Slide 3: 

Following are the steps involved in the education of a child from the very early age according to the Islamic perspectives. Good Names: According to Islamic point of view the parents should select good names for their children. Azan & Aqamah: On the day of birth of a child azan and Aqamah should be offered in his ear in order to make him enter in the circle of Islam Circumcision: If a male child is born then according to the mode of Islam circumcision done on the seventh day of his birth.

Nursing the child: In Islam great emphasis is being laid on the careful nursing of the child. Aqiqah Preference to female child: As girls are more devoted towards parents there fore more preference is given to them

INFORMAL EDUCATION : 

INFORMAL EDUCATION EDUCATION AT EARLY AGE :Islam considers training during young age to be very important because the mind of a young person is ready to accept every impression. Different scholars of Islam have suggested different education to be taught at different age level.

Following are some of them. HOLY QURAN: According to Imam Ali “One of the rights of child is that his father should teach him the Holy Quran”. 2. PRAYER (NAMAZ 3. ARCHERY AND SWIMMING 4. PLAYING 5. LAWFUL AND UNLAWFUL

6. LEARNING AND ATTAINMENT OF KNOWLEDGE: The Holy Prophet (PBHU) says; “a child is a master for seven years, a slave for another seven years and minister for the next seven years”.

DUTIES OF CHLIDREN\RIGHTS OF PARENTS : 

DUTIES OF CHLIDREN\RIGHTS OF PARENTS Father and mother are two precious human beings. Every one knows their value and looks upon them with respect. OBEDIENCE TO PARENTS: Islam emphasizes on the obedience to parents and kindness to parents to be the criterion of excellence and virtue. In the Holy Quran obedience to parents has been mentioned at many places along with the obedience to Allah.

IN THE LIGHT OF QURAN: In one place the Holy Quran says; “Your Lord has ordered that you should not worship anyone but ‘Him’ and to do good to your father and mother. If one or both of them grow old in your presence do not tell them that you have got tired and do not speak harshly with them and speak mildly (kindly) with them.

Slide 10: 

ALLAH’S FOLLOWER (PBUH) SAYINGS: The Holy Prophet (PBUH) lay great emphases on the obedience of parents that it’s the duty of the children to take care of their parents especially when they are old or sick. In another place the holy Prophet says; “two doors of hell are opened towards a person who is the object of the wrath (anger) of his parents”.

IMAM AL-SADIQ NARRATIONS: The following hadith quoted from Imam al Sadiq (p) confirms that it’s the first duty of the children to show care, love and obedience towards their parents and the one who neglect to perform this duty is really unfortunate.
