DECLARATIONS TO BE MADE BY MANUFACTURER/ PACKER/ DISTRIBUTOR :
DECLARATIONS TO BE MADE BY MANUFACTURER/ PACKER/ DISTRIBUTOR ♣ All the declarations made on the packed goods should appear on the principal display panel of every packed commodity and should be legible and prominent.The particulars of the declaration shall either be in Hindi in Devnagari or in English. ♣ The manufacturer of the goods has to make it sure that all packages have the prescribed declarations on them before the package leaves the premises of the manufacturer/packer/distributor for their destination.

PENALTY FOR CONTRAVENTIONS :
PENALTY FOR CONTRAVENTIONS ♣ Where the manufacturer/packer/distributor does not comply with the provisions of the Act than they are liable to be punished with fine which may extend to Five Thousand Rupees and for the second or subsequent offence, with imprisonment for a term which may extend to five years and also with fine.
♣ Where any person i.e. manufacturer/packer/distributor contravenes with the provisions of rules no separate punishment has been provided. The person be liable to be punished with fine which may extend to Two Thousand Rupees.
