Preventing bleeding gums

What causes bleeding gums?:

What causes bleeding gums? Bleeding gums may be caused by many things, some not that serious to worry about. Even a new toothbrush can bruise the gums and cause slight bleeding, but would disappear in no time when you get used to the toothbrush. Most people prefer to use hard- or medium-bristled toothbrushes to clean their teeth as they are better in removing all the plaque, food particles and anything which may be stuck between teeth. However, sometimes these bristles could be just a little too firm and bruise the gums, causing bleeding. If that is the case, a soft-bristled brush should do the trick.
