Lesson Targets :Lesson Targets I can list several important functions of the nervous system.
I can compare the PNS to the CNS.
I can describe parts of the brain and their roles.
I can classify types of neurons.
I can explain the structures supporting the five senses.
Homework Assignments :Homework Assignments
How many feet did you count on the elephant? :How many feet did you count on the elephant? The elephant picture was an optical illusion. Your eyes allowed you to see the image as they carried news of the image through the optic nerve to the cerebrum for processing. You thought about an answer and consciously typed or recorded your answer when a message was sent from the brain through motor neurons to your muscles. All of this was possible through the NERVOUS SYSTEM!

Make a list of several important functions of the nervous system with a brief explanation.
List and describe the main parts of the brain; include an image.
Compare the PNS to the CNS in a two column format.
Explain the different types of neurons and include images.
Make a glog about one of the five senses! To learn how to make a glog, check out the next slide…
