Objective To learn the history of Wiki To explain the significant uses of a Wiki To review the uses of a Wiki

Wiki’s History : 

Wiki’s History Wiki was founded in 2000, originally starting out as earlier free encyclopedia projects. It expanded more in 2001, giving people more inspiration to create a wiki. In 2002, it made controversy about political issues that were constantly being changed and edited. In January 2003, Wiki had over 100,000 articles and expanded more ideas on their site such as creating timelines.

Wiki’s History : 

Wiki’s History The turning point in wiki was in 2003 and 2004, causing them to win awards within the next year, such as the Prix Arts Electronica and the Webby Awards. From 2006 and on, wiki has over one million articles and people still continue to use it today.

7 Uses of a Wiki You may create a to-do list. It is the most productive list and you can do it once you understand the use of Wiki You can use wiki as a reference; references help you to refer to things you check constantly Wikis are also used as FAQs. FAQs are Frequently Asked Questions and wikis may answer any questions you are not sure of

7 Uses of a Wiki You can create your goals on wiki as well. Especially if it’s a private wiki, you can feel free to put in either personal or business goals It can be used as a workspace. Wikis can help organize your work, and it will keep it so it can be accessed easily Wiki takes notes for you and will store it on the wiki. It’s easier to access, especially if you’re using multiple computers Wikis may also plan events. It can organize notes, contacts, ideas, and many more

Summary : 

Summary While creating this powerpoint, I acquired more knowledge about a wiki. Before doing this presentation I only thought of Wikipedia when it came to wiki. Yes, Wikipedia is a collection of wikis, but I learned there are many more sites that have wiki. Most of the wikis I had read before were articles, but what I learned was that wikis can do more than just be a reference. It can collect notes, be used as a workspace, and plan events. Because I’ve learned a wiki has more functions, I will be looking forward to using wikis in the future.
