Premium member Presentation Transcript A Little look at The Muses : Seven (Plus One) A Little look at The Muses Ace the oldest Muse : Ace the oldest Muse 15 years and stubborn… : 15 years and stubborn… A Bombay I bought from a breeder for my husband when he lost his cat. We let her sleep in our room the first night and she hasn’t left since. She still sleeps between us. Audrey… With The Hepburn Mew : Audrey… With The Hepburn Mew A cat who was rescued very skinny and kept on growing… except her tiny voice. My son calls her “The Duccess”. Bunny. Our Boy with Hip-Hop. : Bunny. Our Boy with Hip-Hop. His original Name was Leonardo, but he jumps like a rabbit up the stairs. He much prefers to hang with the girls. Clem. One cat and two names. : Clem. One cat and two names. Named for a beloved old cat that passed away called Twain. She is Clemens. AND 2. Named for Roger Clemens. Yes, I’m a Red Sox fan. Clem…. By another name….. : Clem…. By another name….. But my teens call her “Eva”, short for “Evil One”, because she is clever And can be often revengeful. She has a long memory…. Jenny-any-dots. : Jenny-any-dots. She is my daughter’s cat and is nine years old this year. Jenny's Trick… The Twist!!! : Jenny's Trick… The Twist!!! My daughter taught her how to do to twist when she was a kitten And she is still amusing us with it now. It is (unfortunately) her only talent. Linc… named for Abraham Lincoln : Linc… named for Abraham Lincoln Tall and lanky worked for the name. Um, the empty stare that reveals the REAL Linc didn’t work for that name. Linc Sleeping : Linc Sleeping Yes, He is that cute and loving. But, boy He is not bright. Which is unusual for his breed, the Bengal, noted for their intelligence. This cat has been stuck in more weird places than any animal I have ever met including almost hanging himself by catching his foot in a safety cord for a window blind. Roxanne… named after Sting's song. : Roxanne… named after Sting's song. I watched someone drive away from a parking lot to be informed by a woman that she had just seen a man throw a young cat out of his car into the bushes. He left her near KFC in the cold. My devoted Roxanne…. : My devoted Roxanne…. It took me about a week to catch her. Gaining her trust. Feeding her cans of food. She was terrified. Eventually we caught her in a cat trap. She lived in our bath closet for a long time. Now she never leaves us alone. She is an exceptionally loving cat who sits with each person in my house when they are sick and is always there to cheer you up. Sasha… almost went to death row. : Sasha… almost went to death row. From feral to half-cat/half-feather-duster living at our house. Who says there are no second chances in life? My Muses… Seven (Plus One) : Originally when I began photographing my cats there were just the seven. Then Sasha came into our life. She is number 8. Lucky number 8. Named for Alex Ovechkin. Afterall, she arrived during hockey playoff season and he looked like a possibility for Washington DC for the Stanley Cup MVP and is #8. (I know that Alex Semin is called Sasha, but that is besides the point….) I hope you have enjoyed getting to know the Muses better with this short presentation. We love them very much.
