Slide 1:The wisdom of the wise and the experience
of the ages are perpetuated by quotations.
Slide 2:By three methods we may learn wisdom:
First, by reflection, which is noblest;
Second, by imitation, which is easiest;
and
third by experience, which is the bitterest.
Slide 3:Cleverness is not wisdom. The wisdom of the wise is an uncommon degree of common sense.
Slide 4:Common sense in an uncommon degree
is what the world calls wisdom. The young man knows the rules,
but the old man knows the exceptions.
Slide 5:Knowledge comes, but wisdom lingers. Wisdom, compassion, and courage are the three universally recognized moral qualities of men.
Slide 6:Memory is the mother of all wisdom. Wisdom begins in wonder.
Slide 7:Patience is the companion of wisdom. Wisdom begins at the end.
