Slide 1: 

Mother Is the Only Truth in the World

Slide 2: 

My Mother had only one Eye. I hated her… She was such an Embarrassment.

Slide 3: 

She cooked for students and teachers to support the family.

Slide 4: 

There was this one day During my elementary school, Where my mother came to say Hello to me.

Slide 5: 

I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me?

Slide 6: 

I ignored her. Throw her a hateful look And Ran away.

Next day at school My classmates said, “EEEE, your mother has one eye!’.

I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mother to just disappear.

So I confronted her that day and said, “if you are only going to make me A laughing stock, Why don’t you Just die!!!”.

My mother did not respond,..

I did not even stop to think of what I had said, Because I was full of anger.

I was oblivious to her feelings.

I walked out of the house. And decided to have nothing to do with her.

So I studied hard And Got an opportunity to study at Cambridge.

I was happy with my life, My kids And My comforts.

Then one day, my mother came to visit me.

She had not seen me in years And She did not even meet her grandchildren.

When she stood by the door, My children laughed at her, And I yelled at her for coming uninvited.

I screamed at her, “How dare you come to my home and scare my children!” Get out of here!!! N0W

And to this, my mother quietly answered, “Oh! I am sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address, and She disappeared out of sight.

One day, A letter regarding my school reunion came to my house.

Slide 23: 

I decided to attend the reunion.

Slide 24: 

After the reunion, I went to see the old women (my mother), Just out of curiosity.

My neighbors said that She died.

Slide 26: 

I did not shed a single tear.

Slide 27: 

They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.

Slide 28: 

My dearest son, I think of you all the time. I am sorry that I had come to your house and Scared your children.

I was so glad when I heard that you were coming for the reunion.

Slide 30: 

But I may not able to get of the bed to see you.

Slide 31: 

I am sorry that I was a constant embarrassment when you were growing up.

Slide 32: 

You see… When you were very little, You got into an accident, And lost your eye..

Slide 33: 

As a mother, I could not stand watching you having to grow up with one eye.

Slide 34: 

So I gave you mine.

Slide 35: 

I was so proud of my son seeing the whole new world for me, in my place, With that eye.
