Light Bulbs :

Light Bulbs By: Aisha O. &Nimo A. & Fiona Y. & Saira T

Slide 2:

Light Bulb Light bulbs may be a very fine tool for light and it has contributed a lot to humans with regards to our economic fundament, entrepreneurship innovative (thief), democratic freedoms(depends on the economic systems), education (better light sources help students to focus to better in class), safety and security for over a century. More importantly, we used it almost everywhere to light up every room of our homes, offices, and other places of business. However, due to the unjustifiable use of light bulbs many troubles-some problems are starting to reveal it...

Slide 3:

Consequences of light bulbs: Water quality... Industrial waste ?Acid rain: came from the carbon and toxic emission from industries making light bulbs and industries that generate electricity then these harmful substances became the clouds and ended up in the ecosystem and in the water(surface) system not to mention that other toxics had been released to the surface water systems such as urban run-off, agriculture run-off, pesticide run-off, oil spills, garbage from boats, treated sewage, and etc. decrease the amount of good water for usage Although, you probably might know that water from the nature is rarely considered pure or safe to drink because it contains many dissolved substances. However, these dissolved substances are not a part of nature in other world it does not fit in the ecosystem because it will kill the smaller organisms that live in the water (which later on affects the good maintenance of the food chain).

Slide 4:

Ecosystem... world’s resource is being used up really quickly and scientists predicted that not long afterwards that people living in this world would be poor, hungry, and crowd losing good farmlands because we are using the good, arable farmlands for industries (6%), transportation(32%), commercials(5%), institution and public building(10%), open spaces and recreations(7%), and more most people preferred to live in the natural environment(especially in arable lands), near water, with good economic development, or countries with early settlement but it might not be the case if the area is polluted by the light bulbs(greenhouse gas) coal-burning electric power plant emissions are major contributors to the green house gas effects in the early ages(aboriginal times) people what they need but now in the present we take more than what we needed Economic systems... buying and selling of products the demand of the product affects the prices of the material( the greater the demand, the higher the price) competitions better companies(globalization) and the countries(economic developed a country is) import and export per capital income(yearly) ?the taxes and interest rates marketing?stocks, investments, and savings jobs (and if you have a job you have MONEY)

Slide 5:

Light bulbs also have affects on... Globalization: to be a world-wide company though trade(international business) (which may vary depend on the companies’ interconnectedness of all human activities on the scale) MNC: Multicultural Corporations- a company that operates in 3 or more countries Depends on the consumers’ interest in that certain product In which if a company is more globalized than others than it will make more money, but the less globalized company will reduce the amount of workers (probably even declare bankruptcy). People will lose their job and their income. Trading: Trade deficit: importing more than exporting thus the country owns people debt. Trade surplus: exporting more than importing thus the country making some money from the goods that the country produces.

Slide 6:

Sustainability of a country Newly industrialized: countries that are starting to industrialize create lots of pollution and sometimes get criticized by visitors about the pollutions the country due create to all the industries(but the visitors are usually being hypocritical) also known as the 3rd world in the past and the 2ndworld examples of it is India and China Developing country: poverty countries(poor countries) lack of social system such as health care, education, and more poor economy and usually own a lot of debts dishonest government a huge gap between the rich people and the poor people also known as the 3rdwworld lack of technology and not industrialized at all examples of it is Africa, South America, and Asia Developed country: able to provide enough food, water , and resources to the population has a strong and stable economy has advanced technologies and a strong social relationship between countries in the past these countries were called the 1stworld because women had no rights at all in these countries in the past industrialized in the late 1800s example of it would be Canada

Slide 7:

Decisions in the economy Command economy: almost all decisions were made by the government also known as communist countries no competition against the other countries most people who lived in these countries hoped and worked for one command dream: to improve the country all products and goods going in and out of the country is suppose to be controlled government other countries does not want to trade with these countries because of all the interferences of the government the government is suppose to look after all citizens consumers have almost no say at all the lack of selection suppose to have a lower quality of life they are isolated from the world an example of it is North Korea

Slide 8:

Developing country: poverty countries(poor countries) lack of social system such as health care, education, and more poor economy and usually own a lot of debts dishonest government a huge gap between the rich people and the poor people also known as the 3rdwworld lack of technology and not industrialized at all examples of it is Africa, South America, and Asia

Slide 9:

Developed country: able to provide enough food, water , and resources to the population has a strong and stable economy has advanced technologies and a strong social relationship between countries in the past these countries were called the 1stworld because women had no rights at all in these countries in the past industrialized in the late 1800s example of it would be Canada

Slide 10:

Decisions in the economy Command economy: almost all decisions were made by the government also known as communist countries no competition against the other countries most people who lived in these countries hoped and worked for one command dream: to improve the country all products and goods going in and out of the country is suppose to be controlled government other countries does not want to trade with these countries because of all the interferences of the government the government is suppose to look after all citizens consumers have almost no say at all the lack of selection suppose to have a lower quality of life they are isolated from the world an example of it is North Korea

Slide 11:

Market economy: decisions made by the government is minimal but most decisions made by the economy is a lot also known as a free economy and a democratic economy if you are right you make money and if you are wrong you lose money this also means that there is a huge possibility that everyone living in that country have to face poverty at one point of their life(poor class suffers the most especially as the one’s with no talents, no abilities, no opportunities, and no luck) everyone live based on Charles Darwinian’s Theory: every man for themselves lots of selection for the economy but too much for consumers lots of competition for companies unpredictable economy Multicultural Corporations are given too much power examples of it are Singapore and U.S.A.

Slide 12:

Mixed economy: some decisions were made by the government and some by the consumers (some are also known as) the Progressive socialist countries government always cares about the country first than afterwards themselves is more of the market economy than the command economy examples of it are Canada, Finland, and Norway

Slide 13:

Traditional economy: only a few of these countries exist these countries have little impact based on subsistence farming( farming for personal needs more than for trades), hunting , or gathering very slow to change to anything else(developing, market, or mixed countries)because it is too hard for them to adapt to the changes in living also because the new economic activities might not fit with the traditional ways of life choices may vary depending on the choices the next generation makes make contact with the outsiders is usually result to disagreements(conflicts) and changes

Slide 14:

Light bulbs should not be used because some scientists and other experts say those coal-burning electric power plants are the most important creators of the green house gas effects. Most importantly, it is because we used billions of them are in use every day. Nowadays, most countries are now more involved in trying to resolve the global warming issues. Although, some laws were made that center around to reduce the production and usage of the incandescent light bulb. Scientists predicted that within the next decade, these light bulbs will become extinct, unless something more cruelly changes the current trend.
