That’s Rahul Kapur, you see in the distance! : That’s Rahul Kapur, you see in the distance! As usual; alone, defeated, ambling ahead to be with himself in this desolate park. His face doesn’t have any trace of his trademark jolly smile, only remorse. But he was not always this way! He was like you and me. Like the boys his age. : He was like you and me. Like the boys his age. He was the school heartthrob. He played, read books, took part in competitions, excelled in sports…and of course fell in love! Fell in love with his female equivalent in school. The dream of all boys in his locality. A dream called SEEMA TANDON. A dream which came true, only to be shattered on the grounds of cruel destiny. Slide 4: His loneliness stands with him. How exactly did he land up here when the comfort of her lap was all he desired? How did he become a denizen of this desolate park when her thoughts were his only home? And just when did he lose to love? Today, he is miles away from her in a different world with different people. It all seemed so promising then… Slide 5: But now, he visits this park as his roommates sleep soundly. They say the ghost of a jilted lover haunts these eerie surroundings! Then what is Rahul doing here? Isn’t he afraid? No, he isn’t! Her memories give him company. Slide 6: He looks up at the night sky. And whispers to the stars. Their formation resembles her features. They tell him tales from a distant world. He begs them to stay back and share his sorrow. But they laugh at his misery which has no end. They leave him as he is…alone! Though not quite…she still resides within him. : Though not quite…she still resides within him. To evaporate into existence. He wills her to go. To leave him in peace. But her name is the only epitaph to his heart. Her memories are the painful weeds around its grave. The regret makes him die a thousand deaths each passing moment. He wants to run into nothingness. To dissolve into air. Slide 8: But where can he go? Where can he hide? Which place is big enough to submerge his love for her? Not this park, perhaps, not even his He tries to forget her, he tries his best… But he knows it’s not going to be easy, ‘Cause he has loved her… TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY! Slide 9: TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY! …Memoirs of a ‘s FIRST LOVE By Faraaz Kazi On stands this winter… You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
