Superlative:

Superlative To choose one thing as the ‘most’ (paling) … We can use ‘ the +most + adjective’ OR ‘the +adjective + -est + than

‘the + adjective + est + than’:

‘the + adjective + est + than’ Add -EST: lightest, neatest, fastest Change Y to I, then add -EST: HAPPY ----happiest, SILLY ---silliest, FUNNY ---- funniest Add - st : if the adjective ends in “e” WIDE --- widest, FINE --- finest, CUTE –cutest Double the consonant, and add -ER: HOT --- hottest, biggest, fattest

The + most + adjective:

The + most + adjective The most ……. is used for adjectives which has more than 2 syllables. shakira Lisa Betty Betty is more beautiful than Lisa, but Shakira is the most beautiful of all girls.

Special adjectives:
