In Netherlands Christmas Day is celebrated on 25th of December. Celebrations for the festival begin on the last Saturday of November. In Christmas Day many people decorated their homes with Christmas Trees. The gifts come from Saint Nicholas or his helpers name Black Peter, on around 5th of December. In Christmas Day some people eat special Christmas Meal in restaurants and some people prepare meal at home differently luxurious foods. Generally people eat smoked fish, soup, turkey etc.

In Switzerland Christmas Day is celebrated on 25th of December. Many children here take it on themselves to make the Advent Calendar. The Advent Calendars are a significant part of the Swiss Christmas tradition. The Christmas tree is usually decorated on Christmas Eve evening. In Switzerland, Christmas dinner is a Christmas Eve event. On the night of 24th December, all the members in a family treat themselves to a sumptuous Christmas dinner.

In England people decorate Christmas Trees and hang up evergreen branches. The English gift giver is called Father Christmas. He wears long red or green robe. In England Christmas dinner was usually eaten at Midday on 25th of December. In England the traditional Christmas dinner is roast turkey with vegetables and sauces. For dessert it is rich, fruity Christmas pudding with brandy sauce. In England the day after Christmas is called Boxing Day because boys used to go round collecting money in clay boxes. When the boxes were full, they broke them open.
