Basic Facts Mount Cameroon is 13,255 feet that is around 48 football fields. Mount Cameroon can be climbed in four and a half hours. It was first ascended by Joseph Merrick in the 1840s

The Race Every year a race is held the Cameroon Race of Hope. It first race took place in 1995 It used to be funded by Guinness, now it is publicly funded. it is a marathon, 26 miles. It takes place in the last weekend of January or the first weekend in February
