Slide 3:WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING A BLOG IN OUR TEACHING? You don’t need to be a computer expert to create a blog. Minimum technical know-how.
It is INTERACTIVE
It is DINAMIC
Students can COLLABORATE with each other
Powerpoints, VIDEOS, audio files can be embedded
You can have a teacher’s blog (individual) or a class blog (collective)
Students can sindicate (RSS) to your blog
It gives independence to students
It helps students develop their “learning to learn” competence
IT IS MOTIVATING

What is syndication?, how can I syndicate to Web 2.0 sites? The purple blog is a teacher’s blog, whereas the green one is a class blog It is a suscription to a site. Instead of you having to get in the site to see what is new, the updates to the sites go to your computer/feeds reader page. Click on symbol and follow instructions or open an account with a reader (eg: GOOGLE READER).
