I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom .) 31 Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright." 32 "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?" 33 But Jacob said, " Swear to me first ." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. 34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.

III. Mistakes for EXPLOITATION . V:33 . ( Jacob’s view ) Definition Exploitation is the positive promotion of persons or resources to their greatest possible advantage. On the negative side , people and resources are exploited through being used for selfish or greedy purposes , meaning both development and victimization can be confusing.

Galatians 5:20-21 “… I warn you those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God” (NIV) 2. James 3: 14-16 “… Ngunit kung naghahari sa inyong puso ay inggit at makasariling hangarin … hindi gaking sa Diyos iyan kundi galing sa diyablo … doon maghahari ang kaguluhan at lahat ng uri ng masasamang gawa .” That’s why God changed the name of Jacob ( supplanter ) – ISRAEL (God contend - nakipaglaban at hhindi sumuko ) (Gen. 32:28; 35:10) !
