The answers to question one shows that 40% of our audience go to the cinema more than once a month to see new films. This means they watch a variety of films and see a variety of film trailers and will know what makes a good film and an enticing film trailer.

The answers to question two show that there are a variety of genres that our audience watch. Among these genres are thriller and horror which is the genre of our film. We figured these genres were popular and interesting.

The answers to question three reveal most of our audience watch the trailer before seeing the film. Only 3% of our audience never watch the trailer meaning that 97% are relying on the trailer to decide on whether to see the film. This means making a good trailer is essential in encouraging our audience to see our film.

The answers to question four reveals 76% of our audience are highly influenced to see a film based on the trailer. This means our trailer will have to excite our audience so that they are left wondering what will happen and want to go to see them film to find out.

The answers to question five reveal that our audience watch films in a variety of different ways. As they have more accessibility they will watch more films and more film trailers meaning they will be able to point out good and bad points to a trailer.

However most of these film trailers are thriller films and ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is one of the most popular film trailers. This means we will look at this trailer and other thriller/horror film trailers that are listed or are similar to films stated to pick out conventions that make the film trailer memorable.

The answers to question seven show many different features are needed to make a trailer successful including special effects, suspense and mystery, key scenes but not too much information given away which we will use to help us create our thriller trailer.

As they have more opportunity to watch trailers anytime and anywhere it means more trailers will be viewed and audiences will know what the enjoy about trailers and what they do not like meaning we will have to use our audience feedback to include the right features in our trailer to make it exciting.
