In 4/5C’s vegetable garden you will find fruit, vegetables and herbs.
Basil :
Basil In our garden you will find Basil. Basil is a herb. It has a strong smell.
It has bright green, curved oval-shaped leaves.
You can use it in a pesto sauce, tomato sauce and to flavour soup, tuna and pizza.
I love basil but I hate it in tuna.
Tomatoes :
Tomatoes In the vege patch we have tomatoes. Tomatoes are tasty and is a fruit.
Tomatoes look medium sized, red, round and ripe.
You can use it in tomato sauce, pizza, spaghetti, soup and stew.
I like tomatoes in everything but I don’t like them roasted.
Pumpkin :
Pumpkin In 4/5C’s vege patch we have Pumpkin.
It is a orange, fat vegetable.
It doesn’t have a smell but if I smell something it smells like a thick cream.
You can use it in a soup and stew.
I love pumpkin soup but I hate chunky pumpkins.
Cabbage :
Cabbage In the vege patch we have cabbage it is a vege.
It looks a little like lettuce on the outside but in the inside it’s white.
You can use it in soup, stew and a side dish.
I love roast cabbage but I hate it raw.
Broccoli :
Broccoli We have broccoli in our vege patch it’s a vegetable.
It has a smooth stem and a bushy top.
You can use it in stew and a vege dish.
I love broccoli in everything.
