How to Clean Up Your Gmail Inbox

Slide 2:

To clean up your Gmail inbox, use the Archive button. This will give you a tidy inbox.

Slide 3:

Step 1: Tick on the emails that can be labeled with the same category like this one. Step 2: Click on the Labels button to label it.

Slide 4:

This is how it’s gonna look like when you click the Labels button.

Slide 5:

Step 3: Click on “Create new” if you are doing this the first time or if you are making a new label.

Slide 6:

This will appear. Step 4: Type in your Label. In this example I type in “Subscriptions” because these emails are my subscriptions. Then click OK.

Slide 7:

You will see this appear beside the email Title. This is now your label. Step 5: Click “Archive”.

Slide 8:

Now your messages with the label “Subscription” is gone from your inbox and you will see the notice above. You can access this again by clicking the link at the left side with the name SUBSCRIPTION.

Slide 9:

Now ALL your emails with label “Subscription” is in one folder.

Slide 10:

Why “Label” instead of making a “New Folder”? Labeling is better because you can just search for the label by typing here. Try typing the word “Subscription” and you will see all emails with that label. It’s fast and simple.
