At home Before: Eliminate hazards to risk of injuries or death. (Ex, Identify any problems or weakness at your house & begin to fix them) Make a plan. (Ex. Evacuation & reunion plans) Get a safety kit During: Protect yourself. Drop, Cover, Hold on. (Hold on to any sturdy furniture) After: Check for any major damages or injuries that need immediate assistances. Once safe continue to follow your safety plan.

Safe School : 

Safe School Before: Get Various first aid & saftey kits. Practice procedures. (Ex .Drills & evacuations) During: Don’t panic. Duck, Cover & hold. Watch out for any falling objects. If too much damage is being done evacuate. After: Check all rooms for injuries or harsh damages.

Preparedness for home and school Practice earthquake drills Evacuation plans (Be Realistic and Reassuring) Go Over Emergency Situations of earthquakes and how they can be a avoided Remove anything that isn’t nailed tight to the walls or floor. Get safety kits ahead of time. Make sure they last about 3days. Plans for evacuation. Organize “Meeting Spots” Have an Emergency Contact
