The US Has Problems with Insurance : The US Has Problems with Insurance 2 In a survey conducted by the Commonwealth Fund, the US has more people who have insufficient care because of cost, more expensive costs, and general problems with health insurance. Lowering Costs with a Value-Based Insurance System, or Hybrid : Lowering Costs with a Value-Based Insurance System, or Hybrid -Determine cost based on the value of the service to the clinic (“High value”), and adjust public/private spending accordingly. -People will buy more small, preventative measures when they cost less, eliminating the need to keep prices high! Make the System Mandatory, with Exceptions : Make the System Mandatory, with Exceptions -Services will be provided for free to those qualifying with low or no income. -Additional and “low-value” services will be available, at a cost.
