ANSWER 1 BIODIVERSITY Biodiversity is the variety and differences among living organisms from all sources, including terrestrial, marine, and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are a part. India is one of the mega biodiversity centers in the world and has two of the world's 18 ‘biodiversity hotspots’ located in the Western Ghats and in the Eastern Himalayas.

CONTD…. Environmental contamination :- The contamination of air, water, or soil by substances that are harmful to living organisms. Pollution can occur naturally, for example light from cities and towns at night that interferes with astronomical observations is known as light pollution. Heat from hot water that is discharged from a factory into a river or lake, where it can kill or endanger aquatic life, is known as thermal pollution. Some of the changes we might expect in future:- Further warming of the Arctic and Antarctic, leading to more sea-ice disappearance.

Oceans are likely to continue to warm for several centuries due to greenhouse concentrations which have already taken place. melting of sea ice. Droughts and floods in many areas. There is a real fear among some small island inhabitants that their lands may totally disappear under water because of rising sea levels caused by global warming.

ANSWER 2 Environmental management is the process by which environmental health is regulated. It does not involve managing the environment itself, but it is the process of taking steps and behaviors to have a positive effect on the environment. To reduce the risk of these environmental impacts’ occurrence, we clearly set objectives and targets.
