Substance that attempts to protect Purpose is to develop immunity Live Vaccines Killed Vaccines Recombinant DNA Vaccines What about Immunity? : What about Immunity? Natural Immunity -asymptomatic infections out number clinical illnesses 100 fold. -Immune System tremendous natural abilities Vaccinated Immunity -artificial & often temporary/bypass body’s initial immune defenses -Overstresses the body in 2 ways Over produces immune system cells. Also has to fight infection, along with the toxins from the additives So which is better? How is an Infant’s Immune System different? Breast fed antibodies, wear off after first year. Also on Merck’s Imm. Ad. Board & owned $26,000 in Merck Stock. -3 of the 5 members of the FDA comm. who voted for the RVV had conflicts of interests.
