The territory is located geographically 150 km (93 mi) north of Aceh in Indonesia and separated from Thailand and Burma by the Andaman Sea . It comprises two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands , separated by the 10° N parallel, with the Andamans to the north of this latitude , and the Nicobars to the south. The Andaman Sea lies to the east and the Bay of Bengal to the west. The territory's capital is the Andamanese town of Port Blair . The territory's population as per the most recent (2011) Census of India was 379,944. Added together, the total land area of the territory is approximately 6,496 km 2 (2,508 sq mi). Food Habits: Food Habits In earlier times all the tribes here were hunters. Hence, there was no particular form of cuisine. But sea food like fish, prawns, crabs,lobsters, etc., is quite popular. The increasing touch with the rest of India has popularized a great variety of food here. You can easily find North Indian and Bengali food here.Rice is the staple diet of the people. Dress: Dress Earlier the tribles did not wear clothes.The SENTINELESE tribe does not wear any cloth even now. The JARAWAS use a of jewellery to adorn their bodies. These includes made of shell and barks of trees, arm bands and waist bands. The SHOMPENS use clothes only below their waist. But many tribals have now started wearing proper clothes. GEOGRAPHY: GEOGRAPHY The main geographic features of Rajasthan are the Thar Desert and the Aravalli Range , which runs through the state from southwest to northeast, almost from one end to the other, for more than 850 km. Mount Abu is at the southwestern end of the range, separated from the main ranges by the West Banas River , although a series of broken ridges continues into Haryana in the direction of Delhi where it can be seen as outcrops in the form of the Raisina Hill and the ridges farther north.
