Slide 3:An e-portfolio is more than a simple collection — it can also serve as an administrative tool to manage and organize work created with different applications and to control who can see the work. E-portfolios encourage personal reflection and often involve the exchange of ideas and feedback (Lorenzo & Ittelson, 2005, p.1). Welcome to my digifolio where I made a short summary of the experiences I had on the course “integrating technology for instruction and learning”. The tools we used during the course helped me to learn the skills I need to have in an online environment by making the e-learning process meaningful and productive.

Slide 4:First week: Introductions and getting familiar with all the applications and learn how to add videos, customize your page, invite friends, etc. On that session we couldn’t participate because we were at URBE and we had technology problems and Doris gave us a lot of information about the course and the most important thing is that she encourages us to participate in this wonderful adventure. Later on I watched the recording session of the first event. Second week: I was very excited because I could participate on the session from my home. The session was very good about Blogs and Carla Arena make a good presentation. I was very happy because it was the first time I participated in an event like this. Third week: On this session we had three presenters Nina, Anne and Deirdre, and they made their presentations about Wikis, Moodle and Twitter. I think it was a lot of information in such a short time, and for me it was not very easy to follow everything they said, maybe because I am new on this. JOURNAL

Slide 5:Fourth week: I couldn’t participate on that session I had technology problems. However I watched the recording session later and I think it was very interesting. Fifth week: I missed the session I was on vacation. However I watched the recording session and I think It was really good. Sixth week: I met with Doris at URBE and I don’t know what happened but we were late for the session and we watched some student’s work and asked Doris questions about some of the applications and later I watched the recording session. Seventh week: we are going to present our digifolio. JOURNAL

Slide 6:Reflexions When Doris invited me to join the course “integrating technology for instruction and learning” I accepted because I was very curious about all the applications that can be used to work with the students in the classroom. At the beginning I didn’t have any idea about a few things. However I kept trying to get familiar with all the things we can do, and is not difficult to do it, but we need time to do it. The way I started using tech in the classroom was, when I started to digitize the textbook by scanning each lesson and using power point to present it and added the listening exercises. Also I used videos and now I am going to use some suggestion made by one of the presenters Claudio Azevedo, he gave some good tips. Another activity is that I ask my students to make a portfolio about their work, and now I am going to ask them to make an e-portfolio. As soon as I feel comfortable by using the Web 2.0 tools I am going to start working with my students in the classroom. Now I ask myself: What did I learn? I learnt to add videos, discussions and photos.; invite friends, make comments, and the most important things are to share, collaborate, and learn together. Also we have all these tools and we can use them in the classroom. Did I do it right? I don’t know, but I try my best. What do I need to do better? I need to spend more time on this kind of activities. Did I like it? Yes. I liked it a lot.
