OTTAWA, ON - NorthStar Utilities Solutions, a division of Harris Computer Systems, is pleased to announce that the Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District has chosen NorthStar Utilities Solutions' CIS to replace its legacy customer information and utility billing solution. The Sammamish Plateau Water and Sewer District serves approximately 16,300 water customers and 10,100 sewer customers with a population base of over 50,000. The District is located east of Lake Sammamish, 15 miles east of the City of Seattle. The District serves a portion of the Cities of Sammamish and Issaquah, and areas of unincorporated King County. The District has been supplying services to its customers for over 60 years. Sammamish partnered with Demarche Consulting to develop and design a request for proposal that was released during the late spring of 2010. Their goal was to procure a modern CIS solution that would maximize their customer service capabilities, provide long-term stability, and accommodate their rapid technological growth. After a comprehensive selection process that included on-site presentations, reference calls and reference meetings, NorthStar Utilities Solutions was selected to provide a CIS Solution and implementation services. Sammamish is now the sixth CIS customer in the state of Washington for NorthStar.
