Bose Oludipe, who gave an overview of the book, said that there are some sayings in it that will take Nigerians in America back to their childhood days in Nigeria. Words like "jangrova"- a homemade child's swing - brought about an eruption of laughter to the book launch audience. Oludipe also said the book is one to be passed on to future generations who would identify with stories in the book. Guests at the launch included Dr. & Mrs. Johnson Omoni, Rev. Felix Bamirin, Abimbola Laniyan, Bose Oludipe, Elizabeth Oyeniyi, Shirley Flinn, Lateph Adeniji and Laja Akintayo. In attendance were over 100 people, including representatives from the local church, and members of Nigerian families including the author's sister Roli Agbeyegbe. Poet and Artiste Dr. Kole Odutola, sums up the book, "the acts are those of the daughter but the voice is that of her mother."
