This past summer, Jody Scheiman led the fundraising efforts for Team Bexley, the top non-corporate peloton in the 2011 Pelotonia, a grassroots 2 day cycling event to benefit the Ohio State University's James Cancer center, one of the top comprehensive cancer centers in the United States

"I was attracted by the fact that we aren't creating a new program or agency but instead combining the resources of existing agencies and organizations into a comprehensive continuum of services," noted Jody Scheiman when asked to serve on the Board of Trustees. "The services are out there from pregnancy prevention to health care, parenting education, child care and employment assistance but no way to bring it all together," says Toshia Safford, President and CEO of The Center for Healthy Families.
