Typical Communities::

Typical Communities : 400 to 700 beneficiaries Rural, often isolated No supporting infrastructure No previous access to clean water Prior sources of water were runoff, ponds and rivers, all contaminated Long walking Distances…..4-6 hours each day

Project Criteria Education & maintenance; oversight and support Elected Water Council with women representatives Project partnership – everyone has stake in success Villagers participate in project with “sweat equity” creating a sense of ownership
