Distinguishing between different intervals : 

Distinguishing between different intervals -Program has an activity that allows the student to listen to two different intervals and select whether or not the first interval was larger or smaller than the second interval. -Student can choose level of difficulty (easy, medium, hard)- activity is formatted like a test -Student can customize the test and choose to be quizzed over certain intervals -At end of test, window pops up to show the student’s score of correct and incorrect answers Quit

Singing ascending, descending, whole and half tone scales : 

Singing ascending, descending, whole and half tone scales -Depending on level of difficulty, student can sing strictly major scales or whole and half tone scales. -Activity plays starting note and student is required to sing the scale on either a neutral syllable (“doo” “dah”) or on solfege. Quit

Distinguishing between major and minor chords : 

Distinguishing between major and minor chords -Depending on difficulty level, student can choose to compare between major and minor chords or diminished and augmented chords. -Activity can also ask student if the first chord is the same as the second chord. -Student has option to replay the chord as many times needed -Score is shown at the end of the activity Quit

Recognizing meters : 

Recognizing meters -Aurelia allows student to customize the activity- they can isolate certain meters that they can be quizzed on -Depending on level of difficulty, student can listen to easy meters like 4/4 or advanced rhythms like 7/8 and 5/4 -Student has to listen to a variety of rhythmic values (like quarter, eighth, sixteenth and thirty-second notes) Quit

Recognizing cadences : 

Recognizing cadences -Student can choose to listen to “easy to recognize” cadences like perfect and plagal cadences, or harder cadences like imperfect, deceptive, and half cadences. -Student is asked to listen to the tonic chord first, then listen to the cadence played and select which cadence was played. Quit

Listening for modulations : 

Listening for modulations -Student can choose to listen to easy modulations that consist of “tonic to dominant keys” or more difficult ones that consist of “major tonic to minor supertonic” keys. Quit

Comparing melodies : 

Comparing melodies -Three levels (easy, medium, advanced) -Student can customize the activity to only be quizzed on certain parts -At the easy level, the student is asked to listen to two different melodies and tell whether or not the two are different or similar -At the advanced level, the student is asked to notate changed melodies Quit

Aurally Perceiving pitches : 

Aurally Perceiving pitches -Based on level of difficulty, student can choose to sing certain pitches that are played -At the advanced level, student is told to listen to either a major or minor chord and sing a certain pitch in the chord, whether it is the root (tonic), third or fifth of the chord Quit

Learning perfect pitch : 

Learning perfect pitch -Based on level of difficulty, student is instructed to listen to a note and name the note. -At easy level, a pitch is played and the student is required to click the note on the virtual keyboard or place the note on the staff Quit
