Presentation Description

As we look to the future of education discussions about the incremental changes to improve education does not take into count the innovations that consistently move our society forward. These are the disruptive innovations in technology that continue to expand opportunities for learning beyond the classroom walls. These transformations are the new learning agents fostered from a new generation of learners who have established innovations that are disrupting the learning boundaries. The changes we’re seeing today with disruptive technology will open the possibility for a new framework in learning agents, one that expands the role of the teachers as designers of learning. This presentation is about reaching across history to find the now participatory culture that is defining itself through the new agents of learning. These are the learning agents that begin to transcend into the culture with ideas being formulated from tansliteracy, a digital divide that is being closed as text based media is being replaced by digital content.
