Slide 2:
Last year, I went to Thailand…a beautiful country. I traveled with Cross Cultural Solutions, an organization that seeks to provide in-country volunteer opportunities for those with a passion to serve internationally. I was given the opportunity to teach English comprehension to 3 rd and 4 th graders in the Kositsamosorn School in Bangkok, Thailand. For two weeks, a partner and I taught lesson plans regarding times of day, morning activities, evening activities, and the words that went along with all of those ideas. In my third week, I decided to take our lesson plans in a new direction.....
Slide 3:
I thought to myself, “Self…what would make English come alive for these Thai youth? What’s something they can relate to? Something they can already recognize? Something….or somebody….that makes us all smile, the world over? I thought, and I thought, and I considered those “night words” they already knew….. And I realized what it was that would bring us together. I welcome you to class, pupils. This is…… The Thriller
