“I would like to see more hands on modeling of great technology. I spent a great deal of my time this year being lectured at. It's ironic that the conference is all about the great technology available to enhance student learning, and yet we spent a lot of time in sessions where we were told what was out ‘there’ and not directly exposed.” :

It's ironic that the conference is all about the great technology available to enhance student learning, and yet we spent a lot of time in sessions where we were told what was out ‘there’ and not directly exposed.” “Getting a little bit of time for synthesizing at the workshop would help to solidify the content better. Giving me time to create something useful using the new technology would be nice, so that if I have questions while implementing, I can get answers and help right then and there while it is fresh.” Past Attendee Frustrations

“The sessions and events at ITSC go way beyond "Instructional Technologies Strategies". The conference is about education and how it can be done better. Probably the greatest aspect is that the presenters understand the "realities" of education from practical experience.” :

Probably the greatest aspect is that the presenters understand the "realities" of education from practical experience.” “Time to network and collaborate with others about the session topic. Bringing teams that share both common and yet different experiences and then being able take those ideas back to my district and put them into practice.” What do you value most about ITSC?

Slide 11:

“The hands on instruction, ideas, and creativity. Being able to talk with other teachers and network ideas. The events and classes are first class and while I struggled with one of them, they are amazing.” “I chose the areas that I wanted to learn about and was successful. I liked that it was hands on with our laptops. It wasn't all beginning level.” “I love that it's expected that we use laptops--it's really important that we are given hands-on ideas at this conference. It's an excellent set-up.”
