The Schools and Libraries program Commonly known as E-Rate Makes telecommunications and information services more affordable Provides a discount range from 20 to 90 percent depending on household income of local community

E-Rate:

E-Rate The school or library must develop a technology plan The school or library then provides notice that it seeks services Vendors bid to provide the desired services After USAC approves the school’s or library’s application, the vendor provides the eligible services to the school or library at discounted prices How does E-Rate services work?

E-Rate :

E-Rate Funds for this program are collected from a pool of telecommunication companies that contribute to the UFC allocations. Who Pays for the Schools and Libraries Program?

E-Rate You can visit USAC’s Web site to find Schools and Libraries funding specific to your state. Go to www.universalservice.org/sl/ and follow the prompts to "Funding Commitments." Are there any schools in my area that are participating in this program?
