Reading Skills : Reading Skills associating the meaning of the words with written symbols. recognize vocabulary. pick out key (important) words. figure out the meaning of the words, including unfamiliar vocabulary, from the (written) context. recognize grammatical word classes: noun, adjective, etc. detect in sentences, the subject, verb, object, prepositions, etc. Writing Skills : Writing Skills Use the spelling and punctuation correctly Use the correct forms of words. This may mean using the correct tense, or gender. Put words together in correct word order. Use vocabulary correctly. Make the subject, verb, and object, clear in the sentence, to the reader. Make the text clear, so that other people can follow the development of the ideas. Seeing Skills : Seeing Skills There are two kinds of seeing situations interactive, and non-interactive. Interactive seeing situations include face-to-face conversations in which we have a chance to ask for clarification,. Some non-interactive seeing situations are seeing to the TV, films, lectures etc. In such situations we usually don't have the opportunity to ask for clarification, slower sign or repetition. Hence in Seeing Skill:1. Retain part of language in short-term memory.2. recognize words3. recognize vocabulary4. detect key words, such as those identifying topics and ideas5. recognize grammatical word classes6. guess meaning from context : Hence in Seeing Skill:1.
