By the Numbers on PTSD There are more than 1.4 million people serving on active duty in one of the four military branches; and over 1 million serving as reservists. Since 2001, there are approximately 300,000 veterans of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Of those Veterans, it is estimated that 20% of them suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, better know as PTSD. These numbers do not show veterans suffering from PTSD who served in past conflicts.

Signs to Look For These are a few signs to look for if you think you or someone you love may be suffering from PTSD. Temporary Memory Loss Occupational Instability Difficulties in Family and Social Life Isolation Aggressive Behavior Verbal Physical

Treatments Available : 

Treatments Available Many different treatments are available to help veterans cope with the difficulties of PTSD. One place to always turn to for help is the Veterans Affairs Hospital, they have the knowledge and staff to help. Group Therapy Family Therapy Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Exposure Therapy Eye Movement and Reprocessing Counseling Medications Virtual Reality Intervention
