NICKEL HYDROGEN & BATTERY UNIT: 

NICKEL HYDROGEN & BATTERY UNIT Another way to get hydrogen to the fuel cell is to use a "reformer". A reformer is a device that removes the hydrogen from hydrocarbon fuels, like methanol or gasoline. Small test batteries made under the technology department are stored in one unit to form a single module model of ten batteries.This unit is then used to power the vehicle through the power train and motor as well as the controller which are installed accordingly and this method proves useful in special cases where the fuel cell stack is not work properly due to technical difficulties .

EFFICIENCY: 

EFFICIENCY A comparison of efficiency between a hydrogen car, an electric car and a gas engine car shows the efficiency of energy conversion. For instance, a typical gas engine turns about 20% of the gasoline energy into motion. So a gas engine is 20% efficient. The efficiency of a battery is calculated by dividing how much energy comes out of the battery by how much energy was used to charge it (power out / power in). Batteries in use for this application may typically see a charging efficiency of 75% (power in), and a discharge efficiency of 80% (power out). The product of these efficiencies is 60% (75% x 80% = 60%). This means that 60% of the energy used to charge the battery is used to power the motor. The motor in the Tesla Roadster is about 95% efficient.

Conclusion “Save environment save world” Fuel cell vehicles represent one of the emerging technologies of the innovation age. An efficient, combustion less, virtually pollution free, free power source capable of being sited down town urban areas or in remote regions, that runs almost silently, and has few moving parts but these vehicles are more reality than dreams. Fuel cells are one of the cleanest and most efficient technologies for generating electricity.
