Introduction Traditional medicines from Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Persia, India, China and other Middle East countries percolated in Unani medicines In India it was introduced by arabs and firmly rooted under patronage of rulers in Delhi viz. King Allaudin Khilji, King Mohammed It is survived in British period due to efforts of Sharifi family in Delhi, Azizi family in Lucknow and the Nizam of Hyderabad and soon it took firm roots 3/17/2011
