“ Life hangs in the balance.. ?” "THE TIPPING POINT" Have you heard the phrase….

PowerPoint Presentation:

At birth your scale of life was already out of balance. Psalm 51:5 “ Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me .” You were born with a sin nature. The Bible says we are all sinners before God. Thus we are condemned to death. God is Holy… Leviticus (19:2) says…. ” For I the LORD your God am Holy….” He is a just God as well. In Isaiah (30:18) it says.… “For the LORD is a God of justice…” So God must punish sin, for He is a Just and Holy God. SIN Did you know…. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom 6:23) “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” (Heb 9:27) “As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one:” (Rom 3:10)

Thus we can see that no one is capable of keeping even a few of them, let alone all of God’s law. James (2:10) says…. ”For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” So, how do you think you measure up against just a few of God’s law ? Are you really a “good person? “ Psalm (9:17) says… ”The wicked shall be turned into hell.” In fact God tells us this in Ezekiel (18:4)…” Behold, all souls are Mine….the soul that sins shall die.” Some of you, may think you will go to Heaven because you are a “good person.” Let’s compare your life and all of its “good merits” against the 10 Commandments. 1.) Have you ever stolen anything? If so, then according to the Bible, you are a thief. 2.) Have you ever used God’s name in vain? If so, then according to the Bible you are a blasphemer. 3.) Have you ever looked upon someone with lust in your heart? If so, according to the Bible, you have committed adultery and this makes you an adulterer. SIN Steal Blasphemy Lust Idolatry Covet Going to church Charity/donations Good deeds Do good people go to Heaven?

Shifting the Balance - So what must I do to change the balance? 1.) In order for you to go to Heaven, you must experience a “TIPPING POINT.” in your life. Every scale has a “tipping point.” That is the point where the balance is shifted from one side of the scale to the other. This is done by adding something of “greater weight” to the opposite side. 4.) “ That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved .” Romans (10:9,10,13) 2.) In life that “greater weight” or “counter balance” is Jesus Christ. Your “tipping point” is when you decide to believe and receive Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior. . 3.) First you must…. ” Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved .” Acts (16:31) 5.) You must repent of your sins. The Bible says in Luke (13:3,5)…” unless you repent you will all likewise perish .” Repentance is necessary to escape eternal death in hell. It is a turning around from living a willing sinful life. It means you no longer desire to willfully or habitually sin. 6.) You must be born again. Jesus said in John (3:3,5)… unless one is born again, he can not see the kingdom of God .” 7.) “ He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him .” John (3:36) JESUS SIN

Living the CHRISTIAN Life: How do I live a Christian Life? 3.) Live by faith . Hebrews (11:1) says… “ Now faith is the substance of all things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” .” 1.) Live a life that honors God. You must no longer conform yourself to the lusts of this world. You are to live a life that is holy in all your ways and conduct. For it is written “ Be holy, for I am holy .” 1 Peter (1:14-16) 2.) Renew your mind and do not be conformed to this world any longer. Romans (12:2) “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. “ 4.) Walk or (live) in a worthy manner. “ That you may walk worthy of the Lord … ” Colossians (1:10) “ Put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts and be renewed in the spirit of your mind .” Ephesians (4:22,23) 5.) Attend a Bible believing, teaching church and be around other Christians. “ …not forsaking the assembly of ourselves together. ” Hebrews (10:25) SIN JESUS

The “Tipping Point” Daniel (5:22-27) "But you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this. Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways. Therefore he sent the hand that wrote the inscription. "This is the inscription that was written: Mene , Mene , Tekel , Parsin "This is what these words mean: Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end. Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting. This king’s life was literally held in the balance by God. He was tried and convicted. His life was weighed before God and so it is with everyone. Our spiritual life is weighed by our decision for or against Christ. The “tipping point”.

Where In The Balance Is Your Life? : Sin-you-Jesus According to God’s word the Holy Bible, your life is on one side of the scale or the other. You either will spend eternity in Hell or Heaven. God says in Deuteronomy (30:19)…” I call heaven and earth as witnesses to day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life …” Furthermore God says in 2 Corinthians (6:2)…” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation .” Jesus said in John (10:10) “… I have come that they might have life and may have it more abundantly .” Jesus went on to say in Matthew (9:13)…” For I did not come to call the righteous; but sinners to repentance .” Friend, where do you stand with Jesus, with Him or against Him? Is He Lord and Savior of your life or just another man, a storybook character, a myth and fable to you? Yes, life truly does hang in the balance! It’s your life, it’s your set of scales. What will you do with them? World -you- Jesus HELL-or- HEAVEN Death-or-Eternal life

PowerPoint Presentation:

It is my hope, that after viewing this presentation, you will have a better understanding about your relationship with God and realize the need for His gift of eternal life. You may live your life thinking you’re a “good person.” But what a tragedy to find out in the end that you’ve been weighed and found not worthy. The only way to balance God’s scales is by trusting in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is your only hope for reaching Heaven. It’s your decision and yours alone, but the most important one you will ever make while alive. This presentation is intended as a witnessing tool for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Churches, Individuals or Ministries may use it absolutely free. It is not to be sold.
