This is for all the people out there who were once a part of the life of PAUL C. SALISE…for all those people he had touched and moved…for all those people who had touched and moved him too…for all the people who knew him…and for all those who did not know him… MY HEARTFELT THANKS TO EVERYONE!!! From: MIMI My paul

Slide 2:

PAUL C. SALISE was born on February 22, 1955 in Jagna , Bohol, his mother’s hometown…The family and relatives on his mother side, both Acas and Caseñas , were very close to him…And he had a special attachment to them, for he never forgot to visit Jagna especially Nausok whenever we had our vacation in Bohol… I am grateful that the Acas , Caseñas and also the Raagas were there during the wake and funeral giving me and my family all the support they could give…I thank them for being there for us… thank you so much…

Slide 3:

Paul was the second child (together with his twin Peter) of fourteen siblings…He had great memories with all of them and he greatly loved them…I know everyone of them for he never failed to tell me their stories and I could see in his eyes the warmth and love he had for them…I am grateful that Paul’s brothers and sisters and all the in-laws were all there for us…they were there on our side as we faced the painful ordeal of losing a dear husband and the best dad… I know they too were in deep grief, for Paul was a great brother and he greatly loved them and really cared for them during his lifetime…thank you so much for giving me and my kids the strength and comfort that we need… thank you for being there…

Slide 4:

Paul grew up in Valencia, Bohol, his father’s hometown…the town where SALISE Clan is deeply rooted…Paul was very clannish, he had that strong attachment, commitment and loyalty to a family bonded strongly together with love and unity…that up to the last moment of his life, the flame of being a part of the clan continued to burn…and such devotion to the clan was reciprocated by all other clan members who were always there during reunion and other family occasions…much more specially during the death of Paul…painful to see the people who were dear to Paul, bringing back memories of how active and committed he once was…but also giving me strength with their words of comfort and love and challenge… my heartfelt thanks to all the Salise Clan and all other relatives of the Salise…

Slide 5:

Paul finished elementary and high school in Valencia…he had also a special attachment to the teachers, classmates and batchmates in his Alma Mater…a different kind of attachment that up to this time, he was involved and connected to them…he was even very excited for their up-coming grand reunion in May 2012, something never meant to be for him…now that he is gone, the batchmates and schoolmates that I only knew in passing, have become tangible and real…they stopped and talked with me, calling and connecting with me and my family even from a distance…giving me all the cares and support…something I did not expect, strangers for me but very special to my husband…and they have extended to me and my kids their love for him, giving me strength and inspiration to move on…thank you so much…

Slide 6:

When we got married, Paul had become a special part of my family and relatives…He was a great son-in-law to my parents, a very thoughtful brother-in-law and a great adviser and friend to all my cousins….he had wonderful memories with all of us…his presence was a constant inspiration and his concern with the family was for real…indeed, he would surely be greatly missed by everyone…to all my family and relatives, Cabaya and Gesulga and to all my in-laws, thank you for being there for me…you were one of the firsts to be there when Paul died, giving me the hugs and comfort that I greatly needed…thank you for the love and care….

Slide 7:

Paul loved education…hence, for all his lifetime, he never ceased to study…his hunger for knowledge had been inherited by all his kids…he loved to read, loved to learn and loved to share such knowledge…he had finished two college degrees (Geology and Mining Engineering) at Adamson University, took up subjects in Law, finished Masteral in Netherlands and Liceo de Cagayan, and about to finish his PhD at MSU-IIT….The teachers, classmates and schoolmates had been there during our time of grief…they were a part of Paul’s life, and they were there for me and my kids when he was gone…Thank you so much to everyone who had extended their support, one way or another, to comfort and give us strength…

Slide 8:

For all his adult life, Paul loved his work and everything that went with it…Paul was workaholic, very devoted, very committed and always true in his service…He had been with the DENR and the MGB for over thirty years…The office was second home to him, the people he worked with had always been a great part of his life…From the Central Office to all other regional offices, he was a known figure both as a geologist and a mining engineer…and all the people he had known and shared even for a short moment of his life, never failed to be there in his wake, in his funeral, and in his memory…some were personally present, and some had expressed their condolences from a distance…either way, they had shown how much he was meant to them, and how they really cared for me and the kids…the MGB-central office and other regions, they really were great support for me…strangers to me, but knew Paul well, connecting with me and giving me strength and support…the support of the DENR-10 and MGB-10 was beyond words…the staff of Paul, his colleagues in the bureau and his bosses, the DENR personnel and bosses were there too…everyday and every night, presence of personnel were visible all throughout the wake…giving me courage to accept and move on even how painful…even after the burial, their support continued, showing me how they care for my family…to everyone, thank you so much….To the DENR and MGB family (CO, other regions, PENROs and CENROs) thank you really so much….

Slide 9:

More and more people came during the wake, more and more people called and connected from near and far…people who had been a great part of Paul’s profession and work….there were the companies he was involved with… Holcim , Anseca , Perfect World, Cekas , MCCI, Evergrow , etc…..Yes, it was amazing that I finally met the people behind these names, people whom Paul had actually dealt and worked with…I thank all of them for all the assistance and support…some of the Holcim people were already familiar…especially those with me and Paul in Palawan…they held a special part of us because the Palawan trip was one of the most wonderful moment during the last part of Paul’s life…it was a memory he left before he passed away…to all of the companies and the people he dealt with, thank you for all that you are to Paul when he was still alive…and for being there in our moment of grief…

Slide 10:

With his career and his busy schedule, it was worthwhile to note that Paul had a time to give his commitment to the schools of his kids…Three consecutive year GPTA president of City Central School, the new GPTA president of MOGCHS, the CDO School Board President, etc…these only manifested how Paul loved education and the academe…He had touched the schools, with all the teachers, parents and students…leaving a legacy of how great he had contributed to these institutions…For them, Paul’s death was a great loss…he was a leader, a planner, a visionary…and now he had left a mission for all the other officers to follow and fulfill…it was amazing to see the numbers of teachers, principals, school division personnel, other PTA officers, the students and parents, who came and offered their condolences and respects during Paul’s wake….it only showed how many lives he had touched and moved during his service with the schools….to everyone who were there for us, thank you so much…..

Slide 11:

The Valcagreas was another important part of Paul. He was an active president, giving his time and effort to the association even with his hectic schedule…he loved doing his service, and surely, the members loved him too…they were there up to his last moment…to all the members of Valcagreas , thank you so much….

Slide 12:

To all my friends, and both our friends, my classmates , our neighbors, my fellow Church of Christ members, and everyone we know who were there during the wake and the burial, our deepest thanks and appreciation for all that you’ve shown and done…really meant so much to me and my family…

To all others, who remain anonymous and whom I failed to mention, but who were there in our times of grief, me and the kids would also like to extend our thanks and deepest gratitude…it was difficult but as I’ve said, I had to accept and moved on…thank you everyone for the words of comfort and condolences, for the support financially, morally and everything…THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :
