Initially, PW are all the same until users get use to the system. Incidents: Access can be predefined by webeoc administrator Damaging Wind Incident- 2 July 2010 OPS- Operations Section Chief Walker Christopher test Slide 4: Damaging Wind Incident- 2 July 2010 Significant Events: Is utilized for the purposes of documenting Situational Awareness (SA) type incidents. An example would be the ESF-13 Liaison documenting a call from 911 dispatch concerning stranded citizens at a specific location. Incident Name Slide 5: This is how our Country maintains SA. This is an overview of incidents occurring. Also, depending upon nature of incident, fields like “incident categories”, can be updated along our County’s MACC organization or adapted for a unified Command following ICS Structure. ESF # 4/10 ESF # 6 – Red Cross, Salv. Army 4 7 3 Another layout for the Significant Events board could be as described on the next slide. Damaging Winds Incident- 2July 2010 Slide 6: Provided is an example of being able to color code the threat (or priority) level (red, yellow, green) or user specified. Note: As updates are made to each significant entry (next level down) the “# of updates” changes to reflect the number of entries. This gives a big picture view to operations The “Description” field goes to the detailed entries of significant events Slide 7: Note: the first incident created stays to the left for reference. All are able to track the sequence of events as they unfold. Noting the priority/threat level at the time of entry, the agency that is required to take action, if any.
