Capital cities : Capital cities The capital cities in this region are: Yellowknife and Ottawa. Bodies of water : Bodies of water Some bodies of water in this region are: Hudson bay, James bay, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Labrador sea, Gorging bay, lake Winnipeg, lake Huron and Rock lake. Climate : Climate In Churchill, the snow is so high that sometimes people have to dig out the snow before they can open their door. The snow is also high enough to make great snow forts. Natural recourses : Natural recourses In this region some of the natural recourses are minerals ,water and forest. Quality of life : Quality of life The quality of life in this region is good, The quality of life is good because of the jobs. There are many jobs in the Canadian shield region. Some of the jobs are: medicine, tourism, government, mining and other industries. Still, many of the industries in the Canadian shield region depends on our natural resources. Quality of life : Quality of life Some of the things that might affect quality of life negatively: If the Canadian shield region wouldn’t have any jobs there would be many poor people walking around the streets asking for money.
