Definition of RMS Tasks: Definition of RMS Tasks Failure Logic Modeling: Combines the FMEA and related analysis in one step with the development of the failure logic (e.g., fault tree, event tree, etc.).
Reliability Modeling: The quantification of the Failure Logic Model through data fitting and other techniques.
Reliability Analysis: Execution of the quantified Failure Logic Model (Monte Carlo simulation) to estimate reliability figures of merit.
Reliability-Centered Maintenance Analysis: Transforming failure and reliability data into a set of scheduled maintenance actions/
Maintenance Downtime Modeling: Developing a time-sequenced ordering of maintenance and support actions.
Maintainability Modeling: Developing models to estimate expected durations of the maintenance and support actions in the Maintenance Downtime Model.
Downtime Analysis: Executing the Maintenance Downtime Model to determine the availability (turnaround time) for a Launch Vehicle Architecture.
Launch Availability Analysis: Combing the output of Downtime Analysis, Start-up Reliability, and Weather Robustness of a Launch Vehicle Architecture to estimate the architecture’s Launch Availability.
Maintenance Task Analysis: Decomposing maintenance actions in the Maintenance Downtime Model to the level of fidelity required.
Maintenance Packaging Analysis: Ordering the maintenance and support actions in the Maintenance Downtime Model to best achieve launch vehicle availability within cost constraints.

SRR Implementation - ISAT: SRR Implementation - ISAT Reliability Modeling and Analysis: Performed by SAIC using Flight Integrated Reliability and Safety Tool (FIRST) developed by SAIC for the 2GRLV ISAT activity.
Maintainability Modeling and Analysis: Performed within the Operations suite of tools (RMAT, NROC, …)
Post-SRR Implementation: Post-SRR Implementation Implement the RMS tasks defined on Chart 5, Definition of RMS Tasks.
Further evaluate candidate software for the identified tasks.
Select tools from the candidate software according to the following selection guidelines:
Maximize commercial off-the-shelf selections
Minimize development of special tools
Commit human resources to tool integration and the RMS/Operations interface
Develop an integrated RMS Systems Analysis Tool through contract.
Integrate the RMS Systems Analysis Tool through defined inputs/outputs with the Vehicle Integrated System Model and Simulation (VISMS) of the Vehicle Integrated Performance Analysis (VIPA)
Fully define and commit human resource needs to RMS modeling and analysis tasks:

TBD supportability analysts
Develop integrated RMS models and perform RMS systems analysis as required.
