Sounds of Learning:
Sounds of Learning In 2010, SOS BC and Resound School of Music collaborated on a pilot music program for children involved with SOS BC programs. The children and youth participated in individual music lessons, group choir, and songwriting workshops. In the Spring of 2011, they recorded a CD titled, “Listen”.
It is time for us to listen to the voices of our future:
It is time for us to listen to the voices of our future The CD is dedicated “to all of you children and youth who have not found your voice, or have not had the opportunity to use it…yet”.
Eyes Wide Open:
Eyes Wide Open “…It’s a new day, start of a new life. The sweet of the future is the spice of this life. And we’re gonna live it right, even though we pay the price. The past does not contain us. And it will not restrain us from living hopefully. We hope you finally see that our destiny is Eyes Wide Open. I know that our lives are bright Let’s live ‘em right with our Eyes Wide Open.”
Our goal for 2011/2012:
Our goal for 2011/2012 We know that music is powerful and that children and youth benefit from opportunities to be involved in pro-social activities and arts based programs. SOS BC is committed to expanding the Sounds of Learning program into the larger community, to give more children an opportunity to use their voices.
